Job Overview

Job Description:

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

Overview:

The role will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing security requirements for all wireless device and SIM management platforms and ecosystems, working with senior team members to develop integrated roadmap plans that enhance the overall security posture. The role will collaborate with CSO, system architecture team, and operations to proactively monitor and address all security issues raised for the device management platforms, mobile devices, and SIMs.

Role Specifics:

Coordination and Mitigation

  • Coordinate with both lab and AT&T operations owners to ensure that any pre-production and production violations are addressed and mitigated within the SLA window. If the SLA window cannot be met, ensure that a Product Exception Request (PER) is raised and approved.

Proactive Security Planning

  • Work with the CSO to identify and plan for future security changes that may impact the device and SIM teams.

Consistent Security Approach

  • Engage and coordinate with other platform security teams to ensure a consistent security approach is applied across all systems.

Status Reporting

  • Maintain an internal status report summarizing all ongoing security projects and issues being addressed by the team.

Device and SIM Architecture Support

  • Engage with the Device and SIM architecture team, supporting them and collaborating with the CSO SIM team to ensure all ongoing projects meet CSO requirements. Support architecture evolution, including post-quantum security measures.

Access and Authentication

  • Ensure consistent and secure access and authentication processes are enforced across all platforms.

Non-Compliance Management

  • Maintain and update non-compliance details and resolution plans with platform owners. Track and authorize non-compliance issues.

Budget Planning

  • Identify and plan for security funding needs within the budget year.

Vendor Management

  • Ensure vendors are aware of security requirements and have a roadmap to support future required security capabilities.

Employee Support and Training

  • Provide support, coaching, and formal training on security-related requirements to non-management employees.

Audit and Compliance

  • Support and potentially implement audits to ensure systems are operated securely, and information systems security policies and procedures are followed as defined in security plans.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in delivering AT&T CSO security requirements and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Recognized technical authority in AT&T technologies with a deep understanding of wireless network platforms, wireless device, and SIM management.
  • 8-10 years related technical architect/engineering experience.
  • Proficient in wireless network and system architecture (subsystems, interfaces, hw/sw dependencies).
  • Proficient in specifying and evaluating architecture requirements.
  • Knowledge of Virtualization, Storage and Content Delivery Networks (Cloud, CDM, Grid, SAN).
  • Knowledge in wireless Data, Device and SIM services (PGW, UPF, PCRF , OCS, SGP, Device and SIM/eSIM requirements, Remote SIM provisioning).
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies standards and protocols (3GPP,LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi , spectrum)
  • Proficient in translating architecture requirements into: Solutions Architecture; Detailed End-to-End Design; Engineering Plan; Implementation Plan.

Our Principal Member of Technical Staff, earns between $160,900.00 - $241,300.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
