Overall Purpose: This expert-level role requires deep technical experience and leadership. The Senior IoT Solutions Architect is responsible for defining technical solutions and ensuring alignment with the evolving architectural capabilities of the entire solution. This role involves working closely with project stakeholders, customers, BSS/OSS architects, enterprise architects, system engineers, and development teams to define high-level solutions and align the project architectural direction with the IoT architecture roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define primary components and subsystems and their interactions that comprise the end-to-end Integrated BSS/OSS and IoT Architecture solutions.
• Develop a shared technical and architectural vision focused on creating technical alignment for the full solution, ensuring flexibility, repeatability, and reusability.
• Identify interfaces and collaborations between systems, defining higher-level functional and non-functional requirements (NFRs).
• Ensure the use of common technology, design practices, and infrastructure, facilitating the reuse of code, components, and proven patterns.
• Create and deliver context diagrams, sequence diagrams, process models, entity relationship diagrams, and other architectural artifacts.
• Ensure solutions follow the simplest path and avoid redundant and unnecessary steps and systems.
• Evaluate new and existing IoT and BSS/OSS technical components for leverageability or sunset within the IoT architecture.
• Collaborate with solution/enterprise and technical architects to deliver the necessary technology architecture artifacts for the end-to-end and solution architecture approach.
• Establish incremental implementation strategies and technical foundations for the architectural runway, emphasizing abstraction and generalization to preserve architectural flexibility.
• Influence common modeling, design, and coding practices, and facilitate the resolution of important design decisions for development teams.

Key Focus Areas:

• Solution engineering for integration between IoT systems and BSS/OSS systems, as well as the ATO network.

Job Contribution:

• Serve as an expert-level technical professional and advisor on technical knowledge and AT&T technologies.

Qualifications:

• Preferred Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires 8-10 years of experience in a related field.
• Proven experience in technical leadership and solution architecture, particularly in IoT and BSS/OSS integrations.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate technical trade-offs.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to share knowledge and socialize rationale with IoT management and the community.
• Proficiency in creating and interpreting various architectural diagrams and models.

Work Schedule:  This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted.  No relocation is offered

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This is a non-supervisory role.

Our Principal Solution Architecture earn between $141,300 - $211,900 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
