Job Description:

Role Overview:
This position requires expert-level experience and hands-on involvement, culminating in the delivery of applications or services. You will be responsible for translating core business requirements into comprehensive technical solutions, encompassing platforms, networks, software, cloud infrastructure, and more. Your role will involve functional, performance, and reliability analysis using advanced engineering models and techniques, primarily through software development across the vertical stack.
Key Responsibilities:
Component Design and Interface Definition:
Define subsystems and their interfaces.
Allocate responsibilities to subsystems.
Understand solution deployment and communicate interaction requirements within the solution context.
Technical Direction and Alignment:
Ensure development teams align with a shared technical direction.
Partner with teams to elaborate the solution and its interfaces.
Validate technology assumptions and evaluate implementation alternatives.
Establish critical Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) at the solution level and contribute to the definition of others.
Continuous Delivery Pipeline Enablement:
Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of system solutions.
Explore and evaluate alternative solutions.
Develop the Architectural Runway to support new business features and capabilities.
Collaborate with portfolio stakeholders, Solution and Enterprise Architects to develop, analyze, and implement enablers.
Participate in project planning, system and solution demos, and retrospective workshops.
Architectural Integration:
Understand technical characteristics and assist with the integration of external components, systems, and platforms.
Job Contribution:
Serve as an expert-level technical professional.
Act as an advisor on technical knowledge and AT&T technologies.
Education:
Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math.
Experience:
8-10 years of experience in recent and relevant technical experience.
Design/Architecture experience.
Hardware Platform/Cloud/Network experience.
Agile Project Experience
Understand technical characteristics of and assist with architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role does not involve supervisory duties.
Our Principal Applications Development, earns between $128,400.00-$192,600.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
