Job Description:

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 1 day per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

Job Summary: We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Associate Vice President (AVP) of Business Operations to lead our federal business organization. This pivotal role involves overseeing all contracting, billing, transformation initiatives, and process simplification for our sales organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business operations, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of federal contracting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Lead and inspire the business operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Contracting: Oversee the end-to-end contracting process, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, timely execution, and alignment with business objectives.

• Billing: Manage the billing operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to contractual terms and conditions.

• Transformation Initiatives: Drive transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and improve overall business performance.

• Process Simplification: Identify opportunities for process simplification and implement best practices to optimize the sales organization’s operations.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including sales, finance, legal, and federal clients, to ensure alignment and successful execution of business operations.

• Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and ensure operational excellence.

• Compliance: Ensure all business operations adhere to federal regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.

• Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in business operations, with a focus on federal contracting and billing.
  • Proven track record of leading transformation initiatives and process simplification in a sales organization.
  • Strong understanding of federal regulations, compliance, and contracting processes.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Our AVP-Business Operations earn between $191,400 - $287,200. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
