Job Title: ETL Automation & Manual Testing Engineer (Database: MS SQL, Postgres; Azure: Synapse, ADF) (Commission Payment/Compensation Domain)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Manual and Automation Testing Engineer with a strong background in the Commission Payment or Compensation domain. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing, along with expertise in Azure Synapse and PostgreSQL. This position is based in Bangalore and offers an opportunity to work on complex systems handling payment/compensation processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure high quality software releases.
• Collaborate with product, development, and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
• Perform database testing with PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and correctness in relation to commission or compensation systems.
• Leverage Azure Synapse to validate and test data pipelines and queries, ensuring data is processed and stored accurately.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing for software components.
• Document test plans, test cases, and test results to ensure transparency and traceability.
• Identify and report defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for both manual and automated testing processes.
• Work in an Agile environment, participating in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.

Required Skills:

• Test Planning: Ability to create comprehensive test strategies and execute test plans across multiple projects.
• Manual Testing: Proficiency in manual testing with the ability to write and execute detailed test cases.
• Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of Commission Payment or Compensation systems.
• Azure Synapse: Experience working with Azure Synapse for data handling and validation tasks.
• PostgreSQL: Handson experience with PostgreSQL for database testing, including writing and executing complex SQL queries.
• Automation Testing: Strong experience in designing and executing automation scripts.
• Problem Solving: Analytical and detail oriented with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in both manual and automation testing.
• Handson experience with Azure Synapse and PostgreSQL.
• Prior experience in the Commission Payment or Compensation domain.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.
