Overall Purpose:
Design, develop/code, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality GIS software solutions, ensuring efficient delivery processes and production support with a focus on automation and industry best practices.

The right candidate designs and codes complex applications and is an SME for specific programming languages, applications, or modules of large complex applications. Has a wide technology knowledge and tools, as well as methodology. Fosters agile and growth mindset and creates innovation and impact.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design, Development, and Coding: Design and code GIS software applications by applying various programming languages and development methodologies, specifically utilizing ArcGIS, SQL, Python, Azure DevOps, Databricks, FME and Oracle DB
- Collaboration and Communication: Gather and review software requirements, provide estimates, create design specifications, and work with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.
- Testing and Debugging: Develop and implement automated test plans, validate test environments, data, and results, design and implement code fixes, and produce reporting.
- Maintenance and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve application configuration and environment issues.
- Deployment: Facilitate and support the software deployment process.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science or a related field.
