Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of our back-end and front-end web applications.
The QA Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions, as well as reviewing system requirements and tracking quality assurance metrics.
A key aspect of this role involves conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly, meets client needs, and remains cost-effective. Our ideal candidate will possess a background in both software development and quality assurance, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities:
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Design, develop and execute automation scripts
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Work with the US-based Quality Lead to develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Coordinate with stakeholders and identify system requirements
Monitor debugging process results
Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
Skills:
Proven work experience in software quality assurance
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
Knowledge and experience with SQL and scripting
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Experience with performance and/or security testing
Proven work experience in software development
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Candidate must have experience as member of the SCRUM team on the same/similar position (QA/Test Automation)
We are expecting candidate with more than 3 years of Test Automation experiences on the level as the test programmer, not only user.
Technology stack is variable, more important is to be willing and open to learn new technologies. (AZURE, JavaScript, Python, Bash, PowerShell, GIT, Some Relational and non REL DBs)
Experience with Testing Framework PlayWright + JavaScript is an advantage
Can be valuable to have some experience with Python (not mandatory)
Candidate must be able to work with standard collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, GIT or SVN)
Candidate must have some experiences with some IDE (we are using MS Studio CODE)

Location:
This is a hybrid-flex worker position where our preference is for you to be present with your team in the office at least 1-3 times per week.
Working hours:
EMEA working hours: 9.00am - 5.30pm (with some flexibility)
Compensation:
Salary for Slovakia starting from 2 900EUR gross monthly.
Salary for Czech Republic starting from 86 800CZK gross monthly.
Salary for Poland starting from 13 800PLN gross monthly.
The actual offered salary may be considerably higher based on your skills, knowledge, and experience.
