Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineer 

REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker 

JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard St. Dallas, TX 75202 (& various unanticipated locations throughout the US; may work from home)  

Lead Software Engineer needed by AT&T Services, Inc. in Dallas, TX (& various unanticipated locations throughout the US; may work from home) to be responsible for all phases of the software development life cycle, best practices, and Agile Software Development. Design, code, test, debug and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality and operational needs. Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partners with those teams in elaborating the solution and its interfaces. Work with Leads, Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and Business stakeholders to identify technical and functional needs of systems based on priority. Build high quality code following unit testing and test-driven development. Translate core architecture for business requirements into technical solutions through functional, performance and reliability analysis using software engineering principles and models. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level, participate in the definition of others. Drive and participate in code and document reviews, mentoring team in best practices. Collaborate with peer organizations, devops, support organizations on technical issues and provide guidance. Interpret and translate business needs to technical requirements and accurate estimates. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance in achieved. Responsible for the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software. Enforce company policies in the areas of development methodology, architecture, security, change and configuration management and compliance. Perform complex engineering activities for web performance tuning, monitoring, deployment, and production support. Work with team to troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently. Utilize Agile, Scrum, and Kanban. Utilize Java, Spring Boot, REST, Mulesoft ESB, Mule Anypoint Platform, Cloud Hub, Mule RTF, HTML5, JavaScript frameworks and CSS. Utilize AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef/Terraform. Utilize messaging protocols like MQ, Rabbit MQ, Active MQ, Kafka and Zookeeper. Utilize SQL and No-SQL databases such as Postgres, Oracle 11g, Cassandra DB, Mongo DB, and Redis. Utilize GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus and Sonar.Utilize Munit, Junit, Spock, Mockito/JMock, Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI, Postman, Kotlin and Load UI.   

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in a related occupation utilizing Agile, Scrum, and Kanban; utilizing Java, Spring Boot, REST, Mulesoft ESB, Mule Anypoint Platform, Cloud Hub, Mule RTF, HTML5, JavaScript frameworks and CSS; utilizing AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef/Terraform; utilizing messaging protocols like MQ, Rabbit MQ, Active MQ, Kafka and Zookeeper; utilizing SQL and No- SQL databases such as Postgres, Oracle 11g, Cassandra DB, Mongo DB, and Redis; utilizing GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus and Sonar; and utilizing Munit, Junit, Spock, Mockito/JMock, Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI, Postman, Kotlin and Load UI.  

Our Lead Software Engineers earn between $149,745 - $231,100 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
