We are seeking a talented and motivated Automation Engineer to join our Mobility team. This role involves developing and executing automated tests on mobile devices, debugging, contributing to code reviews. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, familiarity with mobile testing frameworks, and a good understanding of cellular networks. Ability to performing basic Unix tasks on Linux servers and SQL knowledge would be also very beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Responsible for operations and support of mobility testing automation platform.

•  Develop and maintain automated test scripts for mobile devices using in-house framework similar to Appium.

•  Debug code and ensure high standards of quality and performance.

•  Contribute to code reviews and collaborate with the development team and other teams to identify and resolve issues.

•  Understand and implement test scenarios for network changes based on requirements from Operations.

•  Occasionally perform basic Unix tasks on Linux servers.

•  Occasionally pull and review data from databases using SQL.

Required Hard Skills:

• Programming Skills: Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Perl, Python, Java, C, or C++. (Adaptable programming skills and a quick learning ability are more important than expertise in any specific language.)

• Understanding of JSON and XML data formats.

• Experience with GIT for version control.

• Experience with Selenium or Appium.

• Basic knowledge and experience with Unix/Linux environments.

• Basic knowledge of SQL for database querying and data review.

• (nice to have) Knowledge of networking concepts, particularly cellular networks, is a big plus.

• (nice to have) Hands-on experience with API​.

• (nice to have) Azure Cloud.

• (nice to have) Mobile App Development in Kotlin or Swift.

Required Soft Skills:

• Ability to approach complex problems with a logical, structured mindset and implement efficient solutions.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with other mobile testing tools and frameworks.

•  Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl or Python.

• Understanding of programming best practices.
