Job Description:
Overall Purpose: This position provides consulting services by working directly with the customer to identify and recommend solutions that solve the customers strategic business goals. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Collaborate, confer and provides consulting services and manages project activities from client identification through final invoicing. Works on billable consulting service projects. Demonstrates product knowledge with the customer within a specific discipline. Works on projects of moderate complexity, or works in a team as assigned by the project leader. Technical responsibilities may include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and deployment. Manages technical aspects of delivery, customer satisfaction, and accurate timekeeping for billing purposes, on projects where the Consultant is the only technical resource or lead technical resource. Demonstrates general knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in applicable discipline, and may confer with senior consultants as needed. Work performed under moderate direction. This job key applies to employees who spend more than 50% of their time performing duties directly related to making sales away from their offices at a customers place of business or home. Duties directly related to making sales includes: Meeting with customers and engaging in sales activities at the customers site; communicating with customers via phone, teleconference, e-mail, etc. related to proposed solutions/sales, etc.; traveling to and from the customers premise for the purpose of engaging in sales activities; providing subject matter expertise regarding technical issues relating to sales; advising customers on suitability of products based on technical needs; preparing proposals, presentations, or bids, including developing pricing, developing strategic plans related to the customer and the proposed solutions/sales; researching and developing customer solutions with AT&T external partners, including design and engineering; and researching customer business and industry to identify new sales opportunities.
