This is a hybrid position with occasional visits to customer site in Washington, DC.

AT&T has an opening for a Cyber Data Security Analyst – Senior. This role examines data from different sources with the goal of providing insight to organizational mission/security processes and information systems.  Designs, documents, and implements custom algorithms, workflow processes, and large data sets used for modeling, data mining, and research purposes.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Extracts data from various databases.

• Performs exploratory data analysis, cleanses, massages, normalizes, and aggregates data.

• Employs scaling & automation to data preparation techniques.

• Determines analytical approaches to solving problems.

• Connects insights to security decision making options and next steps testing or research opportunities.

• Understands initiatives and serves as primary analytic resource in discussions with partners to define security questions.

• Directs analytic component of implementation of insights into security processes and ensures appropriate testing takes place.

• Develops project proposals, gains stakeholder buy-in, and ensures timelines are met.

• Promotes and advocates value of advanced analytics to solve security problems within department.

• Mentors data security analysts.

Required Clearance

Able to pass police background check. (#clearable)

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least four (4) years’ experience in data security analysis.  Four additional years of related experience may substitute for degree.

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

• Detail oriented, self-motivated, proactive and results driven.

• Must work well with others and promote a positive Team environment.

• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with reporting tools, having previously developed reports for senior leadership.

• Excellent team leadership and team building skills.

• Ability to perform critical thinking in data analysis.

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications

• Splunk, Python, and/or React experience.

• Relevant industry certifications or classes.
